Publisher and scope

ZenovaApps publishes HomeSkin. Privacy and data questions can be sent to zenovaappsteam@gmail.com.

HomeSkin does not require a HomeSkin account and does not operate a first-party content-upload backend. Photos, notes, countdowns, themes and settings described below remain in app-private storage unless an Android or Google service is separately involved.

Information stored on the device

• Theme, language, light or dark mode, reduced-motion, notification and widget-appearance settings.
• HomeSkin-managed wallpaper and theme change history, restore references, local Pro-entitlement verification state, and temporary review-access grant and expiry timestamps. A review code is hashed locally for comparison and is not stored in plaintext.
• Widget notes, captions, private-preview choices, countdown labels and dates, and the configuration of each widget.
• A private, metadata-normalized copy of a photo that you explicitly select for a photo widget.
• Local or transient device signals needed for a requested feature, such as time, time zone, locale, network availability, charging state and launcher capability.

Photo Picker and permissions

HomeSkin uses Android’s system Photo Picker for a photo widget. It receives only the item you select, copies the image to app-private storage and does not scan your photo library or request broad photo-library access.

HomeSkin does not request precise or approximate location, contacts, microphone access or camera capture for version 1.0.0.

Google Mobile Ads and consent

Eligible free users can receive clearly identified native, interstitial and optional rewarded ads. HomeSkin uses Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) to update consent information, show a consent form where required and expose privacy options before an eligible Google Mobile Ads request.

Google Mobile Ads can automatically collect and share IP address, product interactions such as app launches, taps or video views, diagnostic information, and device or account identifiers for advertising, analytics and fraud-prevention purposes. The exact processing depends on region, consent choices, device settings and Google configuration.

A rewarded ad is optional. Advanced widget controls are granted only after the advertising SDK confirms the reward; declining or unavailable ads do not remove core free functions.

Google Play Billing and purchase history

Google Play handles product details, checkout, payment, subscription management and purchase or transaction history for Monthly, Yearly and Lifetime HomeSkin Pro products. HomeSkin receives current purchase state and product information needed to grant, acknowledge and restore an entitlement.

HomeSkin does not receive full payment-card details and its current source does not persist raw purchase tokens. Google retains Play purchase records under Google’s own account, retention and deletion controls.

Backup and device transfer

HomeSkin settings DataStore, the HomeSkin database and change history, selected widget photos, per-widget note, photo and countdown configuration, and HomeSkin-managed wallpaper backups are excluded from Android cloud backup.

Widget appearance preferences can be eligible for Android cloud backup and device transfer. Notification-delivery deduplication state can be eligible for cloud backup but is outside the current device-transfer allowlist. Any eligible snapshot is controlled by the user’s Android backup or transfer provider.

Retention, deletion and external records

Replacing or removing a widget removes the corresponding private photo and configuration in current source. Clearing HomeSkin storage in Android settings or uninstalling the app removes current app-private data, subject to any eligible Android backup or restore behaviour.

A wallpaper already applied to the device remains until you replace it. Google Play purchase history and Google advertising or consent records are controlled separately through Google’s services and are not deleted by clearing HomeSkin data.

Sharing, security and your choices

If you email support, ZenovaApps and its email provider receive the sender address, message and attachments you choose to send. This voluntary support communication is separate from HomeSkin’s automatic app data flows; do not include unnecessary sensitive information.

HomeSkin does not sell locally entered widget content. Apart from a support message you choose to send, off-device processing is limited to the Google advertising, consent, billing and eligible Android backup or transfer boundaries described above.

HomeSkin uses Android app-private storage, and Google states that Mobile Ads SDK data is encrypted in transit. No storage or transmission method can guarantee absolute security, so avoid placing highly sensitive information in a home-screen widget.

Audience and content

HomeSkin is intended for people aged 18 and older and is not directed to children. HomeSkin’s first-party wallpapers, widgets, icons and app copy do not contain adult or sexual content.

Photos and notes selected or written by a user are not supplied by ZenovaApps and remain local under the boundaries above. The release configuration sets Google’s maximum ad content rating to MA; that setting governs third-party ad eligibility and does not describe HomeSkin’s first-party content.
