ProofCam Privacy Policy

Scope, controller and effective date

This policy applies to ProofCam 1.0.0 for Android, package com.noorlabs.proofcam, distributed through Google Play. It is effective August 30, 2026.

The data controller is ZenovaApps, the developer identified in the ProofCam Google Play listing. For ProofCam privacy questions, contact zenovaappsteam@gmail.com.

Accountless and local-first processing

ProofCam does not require a ProofCam account and does not operate a developer cloud that uploads project libraries. Core project, capture, annotation, before-and-after and PDF reporting flows work with data stored in the app-private area of the device.

On-device data can include project and optional client names, custom text and notes, photos, videos and video audio, capture date and time, coordinates and accuracy when location permission is granted, arrows, circles, signatures, before-and-after links, generated reports, file-integrity hashes and app preferences.

Original media is preserved. Stamps, annotations and the Free-version ProofCam mark are applied to separate derived copies where the selected workflow requires them.

Permissions and location

• Camera access is used to capture photos and videos.
• Microphone access is used only when recording video with audio.
• Approximate or precise location is optional. When permission is granted and location services are available, ProofCam attempts to obtain the current high-accuracy location during each new photo or video capture and can attach it to the evidence. Denied permission or unavailable location services do not prevent capture.
• Internet and network state are used for Google Play Billing, Google User Messaging Platform and advertising in the Free version; they are not required for core local project features.
• ProofCam does not request contacts, phone, SMS, background-location or broad all-files access. Android may request notification permission only if you enable ProofCam reminders in Settings.

Retention, deletion and local security

Project media, derived outputs and reports remain in the app-private area until you delete them. ProofCam provides controls to permanently delete an individual project or all project data. Temporary capture and sharing files are removed after a durable copy succeeds or when their project data is deleted.

Android backup is disabled for ProofCam. Local data relies on the Android app sandbox, device lock and device encryption; ProofCam does not add a separate application-level encryption layer.

Copies exported from ProofCam or shared with another app or recipient can remain at that destination. Deleting data inside ProofCam cannot delete those external copies.

User-initiated sharing

ProofCam does not upload evidence files to its own server. A PDF, photo or video leaves ProofCam only when you initiate sharing and choose a destination through the Android share sheet, WhatsApp target or email selector.

Shared content can contain client names, location, date and time, notes or signatures. Review the content and recipient before sending. The receiving app and recipient process the copy under their own privacy terms.

Advertising and consent

The Free version uses Google User Messaging Platform and Google Mobile Ads SDK. ProofCam requests ads only when Google indicates that an ad request is permitted. For Pro and reviewer access, new ad requests and ad display are suppressed; an SDK initialized before an in-session upgrade can remain initialized without ProofCam requesting or displaying another ad.

When a permitted Free-version ad request occurs, Google Mobile Ads can automatically collect and share device or app identifiers, IP-derived approximate location, app or ad interactions, diagnostics and performance data with Google for advertising or marketing, analytics, and fraud prevention, security and compliance. These transfers use encrypted connections. Google controls its service-side retention under its policies and consent choices.

ProofCam does not add project, client, photo, video, note, signature or GPS evidence as custom ad-targeting parameters. Google service practices are described at policies.google.com/privacy and policies.google.com/technologies/ads. Where available, consent choices can be reopened from ProofCam Settings.

Google Play purchases

Monthly, yearly and Lifetime Pro purchases are handled by Google Play Billing. ProofCam does not receive or store payment-card or bank-account details.

ProofCam can process the product identifier, Google Play localized price, purchase state and entitlement result for app functionality and fraud prevention, security and compliance. A one-way SHA-256 purchase digest, active plan and grant time can be retained locally to prevent duplicate processing. ProofCam does not share purchase history with its own backend or another developer service.

Google Play transaction and payment records are governed by Google policies and the user's Google Play account settings.

Third-party service records and deletion requests

Because ProofCam has no account or developer backend that receives project content, there is no ProofCam server copy of a project library for the developer to delete remotely. Use the in-app deletion controls for local project data.

Advertising-consent, advertising and purchase records processed by Google are managed through Google and Android controls. ProofCam does not provide a separate public endpoint that deletes Google-controlled service records.

Children and target audience

ProofCam is a professional field and productivity tool. Its Google Play target audience is adults aged 18 and over, and it is not designed specifically for children.

ProofCam has no user account or developer backend that knowingly collects children's project content. Google services process their own data under Google policies and the target-audience settings declared in Google Play.

Your controls and contact

You can delete local projects inside ProofCam, manage camera, microphone, location and notification permissions in Android settings, reopen advertising privacy options when offered, and manage purchases through Google Play.

Policy changes

If ProofCam data practices or integrated services change, this page will be updated with a new effective date. Material changes will also be communicated through the app or store listing when required.
